Stand alone post

I completely agree with what you are saying about us turning 18 and not just magically turning into adults and knowing how to get registered to vote. If my parents would have never helped me get registered I probably would have not even known or would have been too lazy to figure out how to get registered and vote. We should definitely encourage more people to vote and help younger first-time voters learn the process of what you have to do in order to be able to vote. Most people are 18 when they graduate from their senior year from high school and I believe that not one class ever told me to go out and vote or how to even register for it. If we would show younger generations this in school then maybe we would have a better voter outcome. Also, I believe that what you mentioned about people being pre-registered to vote with a valid I.D. is a great idea. In fact, that would help a lot with the outcome of people going out and voting. I do agree with you that maybe for some reason the system does not work like this because of security purposes. If the system worked like this maybe it would not be so up to date or even secure. I do completely agree with your idea and believe that it would achieve what we are looking for and that is more people going out and voting.

We should build a wall between the United States and Mexico

Being a Latin American citizen I find it completely disrespectful that Trump wants to build a wall between Mexico and the U.S. Can we also acknowledge the fact that there is already indeed some sort of fence that separates the US from Mexico. It is not as elaborate as the one that Trump wants to build but it gets its job done. I do not even believe that the wall is being built as a security precaution. The wall will not significantly reduce any real violence such as homicides and other very violent crimes in the US. The real issue that we have with illegal immigrants is not necessarily because they are crossing the border, it is because people are using their visa’s wrong. If you look at it from the economic point of view this wall will not even really affect more US citizens being able to get jobs. Usually, the jobs that these Mexican workers are taking are not even jobs that American citizens would like to have. Also, they are extremely low wages. Even if we look at it in terms of drug smuggling this will not stop it either. Drug smugglers have been bringing in drugs through several tunnels. Also, it is absurd to believe that we could actually build a wall between Mexico and the US. There are many sections where the wall could not physically be built. If we believe that we should be spending all of that money on a wall,l that is being built as something esthetic than actually fixing real and bigger problems then that is just very sad. There are way bigger issues that would actually help the US advance and grow.

Nazi Christmas Ornaments

The author's intended audience is people against white supremacy and racism. Scarece has been a part of the blog Crooks and Liars and has many previous posts. Ornaments in the Kentucky gun show were being sold with swastikas on them. We need to take action and ban these ornaments from being sold. The Kentucky gun show property is furious. As soon as they heard that these ornaments were being sold they had an emergency meeting. They did go over that they had no policy saying anything against these ornaments being sold. They will be holding another meeting on November fifth to make some kind of policy that people cannot sell these things on their property. It is also extremely disturbing that there had just been a shooting at a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburgh on the same day. We have been trying to stop all of these white supremacist and racist and we are just taking steps backward allowing this type of behavior. I completely agree that this is a very serious issue. We all need to come together and stop these racist motives. It is incredibly disrespectful to many people.

If these radicals take the reigns it will be chaos

Laura Ingraham is the author of this article and she has been working with Fox news since 2007 so I would say that she knows a lot about politics and has been in the network for a long time now. Laura is arguing that she does not want Democrats to take control of the house of representatives. Laura lists a lot of valid arguments in her defense. She goes on to mention how Maxine Water and Jerry Nadler want Kavanaugh to be impeached and how that would benefit them. Waters has been convicted of three different crimes. The last time someone would have been impeached was 1804 so I do not believe that this would happen and if it does then this means trouble for America. The tax cuts that Trump just made for the middle class would be gone and would plummet America's economy. If money is so important in society nowadays then Congress is about to become the queen of the house and spending priorities would be all over the place. All of these people are radicals and liberals so if they take reign of the house then we are all doomed. I agree with Laura because I feel like she made some very valid points. Also, I believe that if there are people who are too extreme or radical we have seen with the history that it never ends well.

Brett Kavanaugh confirmation

The article that I choose talks about the new appointed supreme court member Brett Kavanaugh. Mr. Kavanaugh before being elected has been accused of sexual assault. The women who made this claim is named Christine Blasey Ford. After an investigation made by the FBI, they got enough senators to support the nomination. Even before they were able to vote America was angry and hundreds protested against Mr. Kavanaugh. The nomination is very important because this is a position that you get sworn in for the rest of your life. Mr. Kavanaugh will have a final say on the US law. Trump caused a lot of outrage whenever he mentioned that Mrs. Blasey Ford had made a false accusation on Mr. Kavanaugh. Another factor that did not help with the decision of Kavanaugh's win is that there was only a two-vote margin, this is the closest nomination vote since. There was a lot of controversy in the Senate with this topic. The Senate did not agree with the disrespect that Trump had shown with the situation. They also agreed that Mr. Kavanaugh might be a good man but he was not the one that the supreme court needed at this time. Mr.  Kavanaugh's nomination started somewhat of a political war. This article is definitely worth reading because it is such a controversial current event. Also, there is something that you can do about the subject matter by voting now in the November elections. this article can help you get better informed about the subject and help you make a wiser choice when election times rolls around.
